Immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of the Washington coast as you embark on an unforgettable spot-and-stalk guided black bear hunt. This thrilling adventure combines an exciting hunt with the breathtaking scenery of the Pacific Northwest.

Your journey begins in the quaint town of Forks, where you will meet your experienced and knowledgeable hunting guide the evening prior to your hunt. Most of our clients stay at the Forks Motel which is very clean and convenient being right in town for food and other activities between hunts. Some also stay at the 3 Rivers Resort 12 minutes from town (www.3riversresort.com) where you can rent a house or park your camper and enjoy the amenities of a good burger joint and a convenience store that has all the groceries you would need. Another option for camping right in town is the Forks 101 RV park. Really convenient place to stay as you will be right across from the Outfitter grocery store where our guides typically meet you for the hunt.

To start off your hunt, the guides will provide you with a detailed briefing, ensuring you are well-prepared and equipped for the adventure ahead. The hunt takes place in the lush forests and rugged mountains hunting and glassing clear cuts where we know the bears frequent, offering an authentic and challenging experience. The Washington coast is known for its dense bear population, and your guide's expertise will maximize your chances of spotting these magnificent creatures. Depending on the many variables that come up during a hunt, your hunt will typically start very early in the morning until around 10am. We take a mid day break to relax at camp or explore the town then back to hunting around 2-3pm until dusk

During this hunt our guides will share their knowledge of bear behavior and habitats, enhancing your understanding and appreciation of these fascinating animals.

Patience and anticipation are key during this hunt, as you wait for the perfect moment to take your shot. The average shot is around 200 yards, however we tell our clients to try and get comfortable at 300 yards before your trip. The thrill of spotting a black bear in its natural habitat is unparalleled, and the sense of achievement upon a successful hunt is truly rewarding - so preparation to take an ethical shot is necessary for success. Throughout the hunt, your safety is paramount, and your guide will ensure all necessary precautions are taken. They will also provide insights into responsible hunting practices, promoting conservation and respect for the environment. A guided black bear hunt on the Washington coast is an extraordinary opportunity to test your patience, challenge yourself, and immerse yourself in the wild beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Whether you are a seasoned hunter or new to the sport, this adventure promises an unforgettable and exhilarating journey into the heart of Washington State.
